Is It Safe to Use a Daisy Chained PCIe Cable for Two GPUs?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to add a Sapphire HD5770 1GB to my setup, which is currently running a 4060 OC 8GB using a PCIe 6+2 cable. I noticed that I have another 6-pin cable that I can connect. With a 750W PSU and a TUF B 460-Plus motherboard, I'm wondering if it's safe to power both GPUs at the same time using a daisy chained PCIe cable?

Totally get you on this! The HD5770 generally doesn’t require external power, so you may be fine. But don't stress it too much; your 4060 isn’t a power hog, and the 5770 isn’t either. When SLI was more common, it was normal to see cards powered from the same cable, so I think you'll be good to go! Just keep an eye on your PSU load, and all should be well.

I hear you! Just to clarify though, while the HD5770 might not need high power, some versions do require a 6-pin connection. It might depend on the specific model you're getting. Double-check that, and you should be set!
