Is it Safe to Use Cables from a Different Corsair PSU Model?

I'm trying to set up my Corsair RM750x power supply with an Asus Prime 5070 Ti, but I've run into a problem. The GPU only has a single 8-pin power plug connecting to the PSU, and it won't boot – I suspect it needs more power since it worked fine with a standard 5070. I found a local seller with a used Corsair RM850x and a cable that connects double 8-pin to the PSU for just 5 pounds. My question is, can I safely use this cable with my RM750x? They're from the same series, but I'm unsure about compatibility. Thanks!

It's generally a bad idea to mix and match cables, even if they're from the same brand. They might look similar, but sometimes cables are designed for specific models and might not be compatible. Just to be safe, avoid it!

I'd suggest checking with Corsair directly. They don't manufacture the PSUs themselves, so compatibility can vary. It's better to confirm than risk damaging something!

Thanks for the heads up, I’ll reach out to them first before making any purchases!
