With SSD prices rising recently, I'm debating whether it's a good idea to purchase another one now before they potentially get more expensive. Currently, I have a 1TB SSD, and while I don't urgently need more space, the price for a Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2TB is lower than usual at $162. Should I go ahead and buy it just to have it on hand?

I recently grabbed a 2TB SSD for about $180 because I knew the prices were creeping up. 1TB doesn’t cut it anymore unless you're just using your SSD for basics. If it’s a good price, don’t hesitate!
If you're not tight on space and $162 sounds reasonable to you for a 2TB drive, go for it! But keep in mind your needs. If you don’t expect to fill up that extra space anytime soon, maybe save the cash for bills or something else.
If you have the cash and think you might need it in a couple of years, it’s a decent idea to buy it now. Prices might not drop back down for a while, especially with how the market is shifting. Plus, having an extra SSD on hand can be really helpful for future upgrades.
Picking up that 2TB SSD for $162 is a solid deal if you're considering future builds. The 970 Evo's a bit older, but having more space won't hurt. If you can stash it away, I say go for it! You won’t regret having extra space later.
Exactly! Having an upgrade option is always a smart move.
Honestly, unless you really need a new SSD right now, it's better to hold off. The market's crazy, and buying just because prices might go up could lead to more inflation in sales. If you think you might need one soon and can afford it comfortably now, then go for it. But remember, panic buying won't help anyone in the long run!

That's a good point! It might be worth it for peace of mind too.
