I'm considering purchasing an open box 32GB (16x2) 3333MHz CL16 DDR4 RAM for $120 from eBay. The seller claims it's unused. I primarily game at 1080p, focusing on open-world titles, and I'm also planning to start a gaming YouTube channel. Currently, I have 16GB of RAM in my PC (MSI B660MA motherboard, i5-12400F, GTX 1660Ti). Is this upgrade worth the price?

Just a heads up, "open box" generally refers to items that are returned but might have been opened. Make sure to check the seller's reputation and warranty details. It's crucial to ensure you're getting something reliable since you're investing $120. If the RAM is solid and you have the funds, it may enhance your gaming experience.

Also, consider that while 32GB sounds great, many games still perform fine with 16GB. If you're primarily gaming, you may not notice a huge difference right now. But if you plan to run demanding applications or stream while gaming, having 32GB could definitely help.

Before making a decision, you should first consider whether you really need 32GB of RAM. If your gaming and content creation tasks are running smoothly on 16GB, it might not be necessary to upgrade right now. But if you expect to do heavier multitasking or want to future-proof your setup, then it could be a good buy.
