Is it worth choosing CL30 RAM over CL36 for a Ryzen 7 9800X3D?

I'm building a PC and I've got almost all my components, but I'm stuck on choosing the right RAM. I'm planning to use a Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor. I was initially inclined to go for Corsair Vengeance with a speed of 6000MHz at CL30, but it's a significant investment. There's a cheaper option available with CL36 that's $180 CAD less. Will I notice any real performance difference between CL30 and CL36? Should I just wait for better prices or go with the cheaper option?

Honestly, the performance difference is minimal. Most of the hype around going for CL30 stemmed from it being just a little pricier than CL36 in the past. Now, considering your cost difference, CL36 is the way to go!

I wouldn't say it was ever just a few bucks more, maybe a slight increase, but definitely not that small! Hah!

With your 9800X3D, there's really going to be almost no difference between CL30 and CL36. The benefits of lower latency matter a lot more for chips that don't have 3D V-Cache. In your case, spending that extra cash for CL30 isn't really worth it.
