Is It Worth Switching to Kubuntu from Mint with KDE Plasma?

I've been using Linux Mint for a few months after migrating from Windows, and I started using KDE Plasma because of its customization options. However, I've read that using KDE Plasma on Mint might lead to compatibility issues since it's not officially supported. I'm concerned about stability and the complexity of managing software with both the Mint software manager and KDE's Discover. Is it better to switch to Kubuntu for a smoother experience? How can I smoothly transition to a different distro?
