Hey everyone! I'm considering an upgrade from my current setup which includes a Ryzen 5800X (non-3D), 32GB RAM, a B550 A-Gaming motherboard, and an RTX 3080 10GB. I'm hoping to switch to AM5 eventually, but with RAM prices being so high right now, I'm not sure if it's worth it. I've been facing some performance issues in CPU-heavy games at 1440p, especially when trying to stream or watch videos on a second monitor at 1080p. I'm wondering if it makes sense to wait this out some more or if I should go for an AM4 upgrade to something like the 5900XT. What do you all think? Would that be a significant upgrade, or is the AM4 platform becoming outdated?

I have the same setup as you at 1440p, and honestly, I've had no issues at all. I'd say just hold off on upgrading for now.

Really? No stutter or lag when playing demanding games like BF6? That's surprising!
