Hey everyone! I'm currently using a GTX 1650 and I'm considering upgrading to an RTX 5060, but my budget is pretty tight. Do you think the upgrade is worth it? I'd love to hear any advice or insights you have!

While the 5060 is an upgrade over the 1650, I’ve found that 8GB VRAM can be limiting, particularly if you want to play at high settings in demanding games. If your budget stretches, consider options with more VRAM for better longevity.

I’m mostly playing less demanding games anyway, so hopefully it’ll be okay!

Upgrading from a GTX 1650 to an RTX 5060 will definitely give you a big performance boost. If you're mainly gaming at 1080p, the 5060 should perform well. However, you might want to also look into the 9060 XT with 16GB if your budget allows for it, though it costs a bit more.

Yeah, the 9060 XT is more expensive, but I think it would be worth it in the long run due to the extra VRAM!

I've been really happy with the RTX 5060 at 1080p. It's a great card for the price! Just keep in mind that ray tracing can chew up VRAM quickly, so if you're not planning on using it much, it should be fine.

I'm not really into ray tracing, so that won't be a problem for me, thanks!

Going from a 1650 to the 5060 is a solid upgrade, especially for 1080p gaming. The 8GB VRAM is decent unless you plan to push super high settings on new games. If you monitor your settings, you should have a great experience!

Exactly! I also think 8GB should suffice unless you go for really demanding titles.
