I'm currently using an RTX 4070 Super with a Ryzen 5 7600X and am considering a CPU upgrade. I'm deciding between the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and 9800X3D, with roughly a ₹7,000 price difference between them. Is either upgrade worthwhile for gaming, or should I keep my current processor and wait?

The 9800X3D is the stronger choice if you absolutely want to upgrade. It generally offers better gaming performance and is easier to cool than the 7800X3D. However, whether that is worth ₹7,000 depends on your target resolution, refresh rate, and the games you play. The 7800X3D should still be sufficient for most systems.
The Ryzen 5 7600X is still a very capable gaming CPU, especially with an RTX 4070 Super. Unless you’re playing at very high refresh rates or running into CPU bottlenecks, the performance improvement probably won’t justify the cost. Check benchmarks for the games you actually play and compare the price per frame before upgrading.
Exactly. Unless you’re chasing extremely high frame rates in competitive games, the 7600X should be more than enough for now.

I agree that the 7800X3D would be plenty, but I’d still skip both upgrades unless the 7600X is actually limiting performance.
