I'd advise against the upgrade. You likely won't notice any real difference in performance, especially with current games. Instead, consider saving for an AM5 motherboard and RAM when you can upgrade properly. Both CPUs can hit a bottleneck in today’s gaming, so it’s not a smart move right now.
You probably won't see much difference in gaming, since most games can't utilize more than about 8 threads, making the 16 threads of the 5700X more than enough. However, you might notice improvements in Visual Studio when compiling your code. If you're mainly gaming, stick with your current setup.
Honestly, it doesn't seem like a necessary upgrade for you. You might get better value by investing in extra SSD storage or something else for your gaming setup instead, especially with the demands of AI these days!
