Is it worth upgrading from an i7 9700F to an i5 14600K?

I'm currently running two builds: the first one has an RTX 3070 TI with an i7 9700F and 32GB of DDR4 RAM at 3600MHz, while the second build features an RTX 2060 with an i3 12100F and the same amount of RAM. I'm contemplating whether I should buy the i5 14600K to upgrade my first build and then swap the motherboards between the two builds since the i7 9700F performs well with the 2060. I've already checked compatibility with both cases and motherboards, as well as NVMe and SATA slots, and everything fits. I'm mainly using these for gaming and have seen some slowdowns like task manager being slow to open and my CPU hitting 100% when launching Chrome. I got the i5 for only 199 CAD, but if the upgrade isn't worth it, I'd consider returning it. Also, will this new CPU work well with the next generation of AMD/NVIDIA GPUs, or will it bottleneck them?

Have you thought about the AM5 platform instead? It might offer more longevity in the long run. If you're looking to upgrade your CPU, going with a more current architecture could keep you in the game longer. Just a thought!

I get that, but I already have the motherboard for the i7. Dropping another 200 for an AM5 just isn't in the cards for me right now, especially for a potential minor boost.
