I'm currently using an R5 7600x with an RTX 4060 and I'm considering an upgrade to either the 5060 Ti or the 5070. Which option is better for performance? Should I be looking at AMD cards instead?

You might want to check out performance charts, like the one from TechPowerUp. They really help show the differences in performance between the cards. Just keep in mind, the jump from the 60 Ti to the 70 series is significant but it does come with a higher price tag.

Honestly, I'm not sure an upgrade is even necessary. The difference won't be huge. Are you certain you need to upgrade?

I'm not really desperate for an upgrade. I'm not playing any of the latest games; I'm just trying to gauge the market for future price and availability since I'm mostly playing 2k games like DayZ, Scum, Warzone, PUBG, and ABI.

Absolutely go for the 5070 if you're looking for a notable performance boost and extra VRAM. The 12GB will only be a limitation if you play the latest titles or game on Ultra settings at 1440p or higher.

If you're comparing the 5070 to the 5060 Ti, the 5070 is definitely the better choice. Generally, the 9070 and 9070 XT outperform the 5070. For the best value, the 9070 non-XT is a great option too since it's not much pricier and comes with more VRAM and better performance.
