Hey everyone! I'm just starting my programming journey with Python, Flask, and SQL, using VS Code. It's been about three months, but I'm feeling a bit anxious about the job market with the rise of AI tools like VibeCoding and ClaudeCode. It seems like there might not be many entry-level positions left since AI can handle basic tasks now, and those mid to senior roles typically require several years of experience.

Do you think it's still a good time to dive into Python? Should I adjust my learning approach to adapt to these changes? I'm trying to incorporate tools like GPT and Copilot into my studies, but it feels like everywhere I look, people are showcasing how AI can build apps super quickly, which makes me question the future of traditional programming roles. I'd really appreciate your thoughts!

Even with the rise of AI, there's a continual need for experienced developers. AI can handle well-defined tasks, but it struggles with complexity and edge cases. Your understanding of programming logic and problem-solving will always be in demand. If coding is your passion, don’t let the fear of AI stop you; embrace it as a tool and keep learning. It’s still worth getting into this field!

Honestly, I think a lot of the AI hype is overstated. Many claims about it being able to create functional apps in hours are exaggerated at best. AI is a handy tool, but it doesn’t replace the fundamentals of programming. I think it's still worth learning to code; just be prepared to stay grounded and realistic about what AI can and can't do.

Agreed! AI is here to stay and can be a great asset, but mastering coding fundamentals is vital. Understanding why code works and how to troubleshoot problems will be crucial no matter how advanced AI gets.

AI is definitely changing the landscape, but it's more of an opportunity than a threat! Many people are using AI without truly understanding it, and that's where you can shine. Focus on mastering the basics, like data structures and algorithms. Build real projects, contribute to open source, and network; your skills will set you apart when the dust settles. Remember, AI can't replace the creativity and critical thinking that humans bring to programming!
