Hey everyone, I'm running into some issues with my Verbatim S3 2TB SATA SSD while trying to install games through Steam. It begins with a decent write speed of about 50 MB/s, but then it suddenly drops to just 2 MB/s and eventually stops completely, giving me a Steam Disk Write Error. I also ran a benchmark using Crystal Disk Mark, and the results show a significant drop in performance after the initial write. Any insights on what might be happening?

It sounds like your SSD might be having some issues, but it could also be related to the SATA cable. If your SSD supports SMART reporting, try checking that for errors. You can usually find this info in the BIOS, or there might be a tool in Windows that can help you look into it.
Since you've already swapped out the SATA cable and port, that rules out some common problems. I'd recommend doing a full wipe and reformat of the SSD as well. It's a good idea to investigate the SMART data too—it can provide clues on whether the drive is on its last legs.
