Is My 650W PSU Enough for My 9600X and 9060XT?

I recently built my PC with a Ryzen 5 9600X and an AMD 9060XT, but I'm worried I may have skimped on the power supply. I went with a 650W 80+ Bronze PSU. Do you think I need to upgrade, and if so, how soon should I consider doing it?

Honestly, just make sure the PSU is a decent quality one. If it's anything below a solid E tier rating, you might want to think about an upgrade eventually. But for now, anything under 500W usage while gaming is good, and you don't typically max out both CPU and GPU at the same time.

You should be okay! The 9060XT typically draws less than 200W, so your total power consumption might be around 400W. If you're really concerned, plug your components into PCPartPicker to check the estimated power usage. You might be pleasantly surprised!

Nice! I was looking at some tests, and it really does seem to be around that mark.

You'll be fine with that setup. You won't be using the full 650W in typical gaming scenarios, probably hovering around 250-300W. Just enjoy your PC and keep an eye on the temps!

As far as the PSU goes, it really depends on the specific model you got. If it’s a high-quality unit, you might not have to worry too much. For reference, I'm using an EVGA SuperNova P6 650W with my R7 5700X and RX 9070XT, and it’s running perfectly.
