Is my CPU running too hot at 100°C?

I've been using my PC for about three years without much concern for temperatures. However, I recently checked my CPU temperature while running Cinebench and noticed it hitting 95-100°C. My setup includes an i3-10100F with the stock cooler and just one rear fan from the Azza Apollo 430 case (which I didn't choose). Should I be concerned about these high temperatures?

During heavy use, like benchmarks, it's common for CPUs to reach high temps, but you want to know what it hits during normal tasks. If it often gets close to 100°C, it's time for an upgrade, even a cheap air cooler can help a lot!

Definitely invest in better cooling! You could get a decent air cooler for about $20 that will really help keep those temps down. It might be worth it to avoid damaging your CPU. Also, consider reapplying thermal paste to improve contact with the cooler.

Yeah, you should definitely be worried! Hitting 100°C is pretty extreme and could potentially damage your CPU. Running Cinebench with the stock cooler isn’t ideal since they tend to struggle with heat. You should look into improving your cooling solution ASAP!

It's hitting thermal limits for sure! The Intel stock cooler isn’t great for heavy loads like Cinebench. Try to check how hot it gets during regular use as well, that’ll give you a better idea of whether it's a serious problem.
