I'm putting together my first custom gaming PC in the Netherlands and would appreciate some feedback before ordering. My budget is roughly €3,000–€3,500, and I mainly play AAA and story-driven games such as Cyberpunk 2077. I'm planning to use a 27-inch OLED monitor at either 1440p or 4K, and I'd prefer a white or light-colored build. The current parts list comes to about €3,500 and includes a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, an RTX 5080, and a Lexar M.2 SSD. Does the build look well-balanced, and are there any parts worth changing before I buy everything? I'm also considering assembling it myself since this will be my first build.

I’d take another look at the SSD brand and model. A higher-end drive from Samsung or WD Black could be worth the extra money, particularly if the price difference is small. Depending on your needs, I’d rather have a fast, well-reviewed 1TB drive than a cheaper 2TB model with weaker performance or endurance.
The build looks solid overall, especially for high-refresh 1440p or 4K gaming. The main concern is value: the RTX 5080 is a very expensive card for the performance increase it offers, so it may be worth comparing prices with other GPUs before committing. If the budget allows and you want the newest hardware, though, the combination should handle demanding games very well.
Building it yourself is definitely doable and can be a fun learning experience. Take your time, follow the motherboard manual, and double-check the power connections before turning it on. The parts list seems suitable for your target games; just make sure the case has good airflow and that the power supply is an appropriate, reliable model for the graphics card.
Lexar drives aren’t automatically a bad choice. I’ve been using two 2TB Lexar M.2 SSDs for a couple of years without issues, and several friends have had a similar experience. Check the specific model’s reviews and specifications rather than judging the brand alone.
