Hey everyone! I have an HP Pavilion Laptop 15t-eg000, and here are my specs:
- Processor: 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz
- RAM: 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)
- Storage: 477 GB SSD NVMe
- Graphics: Intel Iris Xe Graphics
- System Type: 64-bit OS, x64-based processor.

I've been using this laptop for about 4 years mainly for basic tasks like Office and the occasional Acrobat Reader. No heavy software like Photoshop, just some lighter work-related applications.

I've had the Windows 11 update ready for a while now, and I've been notified that further security updates will require me to upgrade. I'm cool with updating, but I'm curious: will this make my laptop slower or affect its performance in any way based on the specs I mentioned? Thanks in advance!

So, Windows 11 is generally considered slower than Windows 10, but with your specs, you should be fine for everyday tasks. Just a heads up - if you're in the EU, you can join the ESU program in the Windows Update settings for some extended security updates on Windows 10. It's free if you're not using a local account.

Yeah, Windows 11 might feel a bit sluggish, especially with the new file explorer they've implemented. It adds some extra bloat compared to Windows 10, but your hardware looks decent enough. Just be prepared for some struggles with performance. Also, check out the compatibility with your setup using the link here: [WhyNotWin11](https://github.com/rcmaehl/WhyNotWin11)

Calling Windows a 'vibe coded mess' is a bit dramatic, don't you think? It's just not for everyone.
