Is My Phone Okay After Damaging the Charging Port?

I accidentally dropped my phone on its charging port while in the shower, and now there's a dent in it. The good news is that my charger still works, and my phone charges normally without overheating. However, I have to force the charger in and out, which concerns me. I want to know if my phone will be okay despite the dent, especially since I've had some issues with charging that might be related to the charger itself. I'm not very technical, so I'm looking for some reassurance that all will be fine and I won't wake up to a dead phone!

It’s possible you did some damage, but that doesn’t mean your phone is doomed. The dent could be causing extra wear on both the charger and port, but if it’s still functioning, it might just be a minor issue. Just make sure the inside of the port looks alright! Also, why are you using your phone in the shower?
