Is my phone really hacked after visiting a sketchy website?

I think I may have accidentally opened a questionable website on my iPhone where it started loading a link in a small window. While it was loading, a message popped up claiming my phone had been hacked. I panicked and closed it quickly, so I didn't get to read everything. Should I be worried that my phone is actually hacked? What steps should I take?

You're totally fine! That pop-up was just a typical scam. If you were truly hacked, you’d likely receive some sort of alerts or odd behavior on your phone, but that's not the case here. Just don’t engage with suspicious sites in the future!

No need to freak out! You’re not hacked. Just avoid sketchy websites in the future. They often try to scare you into thinking your device is compromised but it’s usually just a scam to get your money for tech support.
ArtisticSoul34: I was just trying to grab a link for some music patch stencils and that popped up. Thanks for the reassurance! I just have a lot of important stuff on my phone, so it scared me.
