I just got my RTX 5070 and I'm noticing it's running really hot. The temperatures on my PC show a minimum of 45°C and a maximum of 74°C for the GPU and memory. While I've read that 74°C is generally considered normal, when I touch the card, it feels incredibly hot. I remember my previous card, the RTX 3060, never got this hot, and my PC stayed cool. I also saw a static hotspot reading of 255, but I've heard there might not even be a sensor for that. I've been playing games like Cyberpunk 2077, the new Skate, and The Witcher 3, and Witcher 3 ran a bit cooler, but the others reached those higher temps. I'm a bit worried since I spent a good amount on this card, so any insights or help would be appreciated! Hope everyone is having a great day!

74°C isn't a big deal at all. For reference, cards like the 3080 and 3090 often run around 80°C when you first get them. NVIDIA cards start throttling at around 90°C, so you're still in the safe zone!
Don't touch it! 74°C is perfectly fine for a 5070, but it might feel too hot for your hand. Just remember, that temperature is within safe limits.
Yeah, thanks for that. I thought I smelled something burning too, but it was just a little dusty. I guess I'm just paranoid since my last card didn't heat up like this.
If you're still worried, check your case airflow! But honestly, 74°C max is a solid temp. It's just a bit higher than what you're used to with your previous card.
Thanks! I just didn't expect it to get that high so quickly, especially with Cyberpunk. I'll keep an eye on it during long sessions!

Okay, thanks for the reassurance!
