Is My Ryzen 9 5900XT Compatible with My ASRock B450M/AC Motherboard?

I'm trying to upgrade my CPU to a Ryzen 9 5900XT for better performance in video editing, but I'm running into some issues. I thought this CPU would be compatible with my ASRock B450M/AC motherboard since it supports the 5950X, but my PC won't boot to Windows at all. It does recognize the CPU in BIOS, but when I exit BIOS, the system shuts off after about 30 seconds without any error messages or beeping. I've followed plenty of tutorials for the installation and checked everything I could think of. What could be the issue?

It sounds like you might need to update your BIOS to version 10.08 or newer. The Ryzen 5900XT is listed lower down in the compatibility list you found. Make sure your BIOS is up to date to support this CPU properly. If you're on BIOS 10.43 Beta already, that should be good, but just double-check if there’s anything newer available! Good luck!

Oh man, I should’ve suggested checking the BIOS version first! Sometimes it’s the little things that cause major headaches.
