Hey everyone! I'm putting together a budget-friendly PC and need some help. With the rising prices of DDR5, I'm opting for a Ryzen 5 5600 alongside 16GB of RAM and a 500GB M.2 NVMe drive. My gaming focus will mostly be on strategy games like Anno and Age of Empires, but I also want to dive into Battlefield 6. My monitor is 1080p with a 144Hz refresh rate, and I'm not looking to upgrade to 2K or 4K anytime soon. My GPU budget is capped at $200. I have two main questions: 1) Will the Ryzen 5600 still perform decently for these games in 2026, especially the CPU-heavy strategy titles? 2) What's the best GPU I can find for around $200 right now? I've been checking the used market but am unsure about reliability and whether cards have been used for mining. Thanks for your input!

If the 3060 is too pricey, check out a used 5700XT. Performance is similar, and AMD cards tend to drop in price more in the second-hand market.
Absolutely, 5600 will handle 1080p gaming decently well. You could look for used options like a 6600 XT or 3060 in your budget, which should give a good performance for your needs.
For around $200, a used 3070 would be the top choice or you might consider a 3060 Ti, both of which offer solid performance.
Your CPU should be fine, but remember that the GPU will be more critical for hitting that 144 fps mark. Strategy games are usually well-optimized, so just tinker with the settings as needed.
The Ryzen 5600 should still be fine for 1080p gaming in 2026. For a GPU, I’d recommend looking for a used RTX 3060 12GB, but be cautious and only buy if you can see the card running beforehand!
