Is Starting with Arch Linux a Good Idea for New Users?

I've heard a lot of warnings about starting with Arch Linux, but I really want to give it a shot. I have some Linux experience, although it's mostly been on different systems, and now I'm looking to switch from Windows. I want to dive in and learn how everything works under the hood. I'm considering following the Arch Wiki's installation guide, but I'm also curious if there are better resources out there. Should I just go for it, or would it be wiser to start with something like Linux Mint to ease into it?
