I currently have one 16GB stick of RAM running at 3200MHz, and I'm considering swapping it for a 2x8GB kit running at 2666MHz. The other person would also add some cash. My CPU is a Ryzen 5 4600G. Would the performance benefits of dual-channel memory outweigh the lower speed, especially since the system uses integrated graphics?

The capacity is the same, but 2x8GB in dual-channel will usually perform better than 1x16GB, especially with the 4600G’s integrated graphics. Ideally, you’d want 2x8GB at 3200MHz, but 2666MHz dual-channel can still be a worthwhile improvement. Check that both sticks are a matched kit and test them for stability after enabling the memory profile.
With a Ryzen 5 4600G, dual-channel memory can make a noticeable difference, particularly for the integrated graphics. Two sticks let the system use both memory channels, which is generally much better than running a single stick. However, 2666MHz is slower than 3200MHz, so the improvement won’t be universal. If the 2x8GB kit is compatible and they’re adding cash, it can be a reasonable trade, but make sure you aren’t giving up an easy future upgrade to 32GB.
So dual-channel is usually more beneficial than having one faster stick in this case?
