Is the $100 upgrade to a GTX 2070 a good deal?

Hey everyone! I found a GTX 2070 on Facebook Marketplace for just $100, and I'm currently using a GTX 1070 with an Intel Core i7 6700K clocked at 4.00GHz. I'm wondering if this upgrade is worth it or if I should hold out for something better?

If it’s a legit GTX 2070 and it works well, I’d say $100 is a great price. But definitely make sure it’s not a knockoff. This upgrade will give you noticeable performance improvements over the 1070.

Just a heads up, your CPU might bottleneck the performance a bit. But considering the 2070 typically goes for around $150, you’d still be making a great deal at $100!
FPSKing999: Sure, there’ll always be a bottleneck somewhere, but going from 1070 to 2070 will still enhance your frame rates, especially at 1080p.
GameChanger2020: Totally, you’ll see around 25-30 extra fps in most games at 1080p. GDDR6 memory is also a nice upgrade!

I recently moved from a 2060 to a 2080ti after selling my 2060, and it turned into a huge upgrade for me. Jumping from a 2060 level to closer to a 4060ti was super noticeable, so I’d expect a similar improvement from your 1070 to a 2070!

RayFan9000: Just so you know, ray tracing isn’t great on a 2070 unless you can handle low framerates.
