I'm choosing between the 8GB and 16GB versions of the RX 9060 XT. The 16GB card costs about €100 more, and I mainly play at 1080p. Is the extra VRAM worth the price, or would the 8GB model be enough for current games?

The 16GB model is better value if €100 fits comfortably into your budget. Some games already benefit from more than 8GB, especially with higher-quality textures and newer visual features. It should give you more flexibility and longevity rather than forcing you to lower settings later.
For this particular GPU, I’d spend the extra €100 on the 16GB version. The RX 9060 XT is powerful enough that an 8GB frame buffer could become a limitation in newer games, even at 1080p. When VRAM runs out, performance and stuttering can get much worse, so the extra capacity should help the card remain useful for longer.
Eight gigabytes can still work for 1080p if you’re willing to adjust texture quality and other settings, and it may be the sensible choice if the extra €100 would stretch your budget. However, the difference here isn’t just capacity—the 9060 XT is relatively capable, so the 8GB version may hit VRAM limits before the GPU itself runs out of performance. If you can afford it without sacrificing other parts of the build, choose 16GB.
