I'm looking to upgrade my GPU from a 1660 Super but need some help deciding between the 3070 and the 5060. My budget allows for either option, but I'm not sure which one is the best fit for my setup. Honestly, both the 3070 and 5060 are a bit excessive for your current CPU. If you're planning to upgrade your CPU soon, then go for it! But make sure your overall build will be balanced after the upgrade.
The 5060 seems like the better choice for you. It matches the 3070 in performance while being more power efficient and comes with features like DLSS 4 and Frame Generation. However, keep in mind both GPUs could be a bit overkill for your Ryzen 5 3600.
If you’re gaming at 1080p, an 8GB card like the 3070 is usually more than enough. The 5060 is also great, but only if you plan on future-proofing for higher resolutions or more demanding games.
