I'm building my first PC and my gaming style is pretty diverse, ranging from Battlefield and Fortnite to story-driven RPGs and heavily modded Farming Simulator. With a budget of $2000, I'm curious whether the 4070 Ti is still a solid option for gaming at 1440p, or if it would be better to invest in something like the 5070 Ti or even a 5080. I also want to keep in mind that I'm a dad, so I'm not looking for the absolute most competitive setup available.

If you're set on the 4070 Ti, it's still good for 1440p, especially for games like Battlefield 6. But the newer 5000 series is definitely where you'll get more bang for your buck in the long run!
For $2000, you could practically build a rig with a 5080. Just check the prices around; I found a neat build option with a 7800X3D and 32GB DDR5 RAM that fits the bill.
Yeah, the 4070 Ti is perfectly fine for AAA titles at 1440p! But considering your budget, you might want to look into going for a 5080 instead. It could be a great investment for future-proofing your setup.
Definitely, the 4070 Ti can handle 1440p well, but with a $2000 budget, it'd be wise to avoid outdated GPUs. You could snag a 5070 Ti, which is more powerful and offers 16GB of VRAM for a better experience.
Good point! You might even find a good deal on a 4090 if you're lucky, which would be awesome for a $2000 build.

For sure, I’ve been using my 4070 super without any issues on a dual monitor setup at 1440p 144Hz. But if you can find the deals, go for the newer models!
