Is the 5070 much different from the 4070 Ti? Should I spend more on the 5070 Ti?

Hey everyone! I'll be moving to New Zealand soon and unfortunately can't take my current PC with me, so I need to buy a new one when I get there. Right now, I have a 4070 Ti, and I'm eyeing the 5070 at a local shop. The 5070 Ti is about $500 more expensive. My build with the 5070 is around 3300 NZD, while the 5070 Ti is around 3800 NZD. I really love the performance of my 4070 Ti and I don't want to downgrade. I've heard that the 5070 is pretty similar in performance but maybe 10% less, but I'm not super knowledgeable in this area. Do you think the 5070 will be sufficient, or is it worth it to go for the 5070 Ti? I'd appreciate any insights from those who are familiar with these GPUs! Thanks!

It’s probably a good idea to get the best you can as stock for hardware seems to be on the decline. Buying now could save you some headaches later on.

The 5070 is actually very comparable to the 4070 Ti, with just some minor differences like multi frame generation. Honestly, I wouldn’t say it's worth upgrading just for that unless you really need the extra edge.

Thanks for the clarification! I just wanted to confirm if the performance was going to be roughly the same, and it sounds like it is!

Yep, they're pretty much on the same level. You won't be missing much if you go with the 5070!

I'd recommend going for the best option you can afford right now. The prices for the 5070 Ti might shoot up later, or there could be supply issues with NVIDIA that could make it harder to find.
