Is the 5080 a good upgrade for my Ryzen 7 5800X and 32GB RAM for 4K gaming?

I'm currently using a 3080 Ti and I have the opportunity to upgrade to a 5080. I game on a 4K OLED 240Hz monitor and I'm wondering if my Ryzen 7 5800X and 32GB of 3200MHz DDR4 RAM will be enough to fully utilize the 5080, or if I'll run into any limitations with my existing setup.

You're not likely to face significant limitations. At 4K, your CPU shouldn't bottleneck the 5080 as it might at lower resolutions like 1440p or 1080p. Just keep an eye on GPU usage to see how well it's performing.

While you might experience a bit of a bottleneck if you push DLSS for higher frame rates, overall, your setup should manage well at 4K. You could always consider upgrading your RAM later when prices go down for even better performance.

Since you're gaming at 4K, your specs look solid. I swapped from a 1440p to a 4K monitor and saw my CPU and GPU usage max out, which is good. If you want to boost performance further, you might think about getting 3600MHz RAM down the line.

Upgrading to the 5080 would definitely be worth it, especially for 4K gaming. Your 5800X should handle it just fine at that resolution.
