Is the 5080 Worth the Upgrade from a 5070 Ti for a New High-End PC?

I'm building my first high-end PC and am considering whether to go with the MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Ti or the RTX 5080. I'm hoping to keep my setup competitive for a few years. Here's my build plan so far: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor, ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-F motherboard, Corsair 16GB DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB Corsair MP700 SSD. The 5080 is more expensive, so I'm trying to understand if it's actually worth the investment compared to the 5070 Ti.

If your budget allows, I'd definitely recommend opting for the 5080. It delivers better performance overall, especially for high-end gaming and future titles.

Considering the current prices, the 5080, priced around $1200, offers a better value compared to the 5070 Ti at $1000. If you're just gaming casually, though, the 5070 Ti can still give solid performance for less.

That’s good to know! In my country, the 5070 Ti is actually $500 cheaper, so it seems less appealing to stretch for the 5080 with that big a gap.
