I'm building a PC to pair with my 1440p 240Hz monitor and planning to use a 5070 GPU. I want to know if the 7600X processor is a good match for this setup. If it's not, I'd appreciate advice on what minimum specs I should look for to effectively run this monitor at 1440p and possibly 260Hz in the future.

Honestly, the 7600X might have a hard time hitting 200+ FPS in heavy titles like BF6 or COD. You might get around 150-170 FPS, which is still awesome, but if you have future games in mind and want that 200+ experience, consider upgrading to at least a 7800X3D.

The 7600X is definitely capable at 1440p. With the 5070, you should be able to achieve high frame rates in most games, even at max settings. However, don't expect to hit 260 FPS. For demanding games, it may peak at around 120 FPS and can go a bit higher, but you might be looking at a ceiling of 165 FPS.

Yes, the 7600X should work well for 1440p gaming. Just keep in mind that if the price difference between it and the 9600X is only about $25, you might want to go for the 9600X instead for a bit more performance.

Are you aiming for 240 FPS? The games you're playing matter a lot here. I have a setup with 1440p 240Hz and while I can manage in lighter games, titles like BO7 and BF6 can really push your hardware. I use a 9800X3D and a 5080, and they struggle a bit to hit that 220–240 FPS mark.
