Is the ASRock B650M-HDV/M.2 Motherboard Safe with Ryzen 5 9600X?

I recently bought the ASRock B650M-HDV motherboard along with an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X CPU. After checking reviews, I noticed there have been quite a few reports of 9800X3D CPUs failing. Now I'm worried – is this setup safe? I'm considering returning the motherboard for peace of mind, but I wanted to hear others' thoughts first.

It seems like you're mostly in the clear as long as you don't enable Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO) if you have a potentially affected CPU. Definitely update your BIOS to version 3.25 to be extra cautious, as it addresses some of those concerns.

From what I've gathered, the issues with ASRock mainly involve the X3D CPUs, and the 9600X shouldn't be affected. However, just to be safe, make sure you update the BIOS to the latest version. That's a crucial step!
