Is the Corsair CX650 a good temporary PSU for an RTX 2060 Super build?

My current power supply seems to be failing and I'm getting crashes, so I want to replace it. I'm looking for something affordable but reliable enough for the short term, since I may upgrade or replace the whole PC later. My system has an RTX 2060 Super and an Intel i5-9400F. Would the Corsair CX650 650W 80 PLUS Bronze be a reasonable choice, or would the MSI MAG A650BN be better for temporary use?

Both options are usable for this setup, but neither is considered especially high-end. The exact revision matters with some Corsair CX models, and the MSI A650BN is generally viewed as an entry-level unit. For a temporary replacement they should be adequate, but check the specific model and revision before buying rather than relying only on the wattage or Bronze rating.

That’s fine for my situation since I’m only looking for a stopgap until I change the PC.

The MSI MAG A650BN is a reasonable budget option for this hardware and should handle an RTX 2060 Super and i5-9400F without trouble. It’s not a premium unit, but it can make sense if you genuinely only need a short-term replacement. If you expect the next build to use more power, though, spending extra on a higher-quality PSU that you can carry over may be better.

I mainly need something dependable enough for now so I can use the PC normally, and I’m trying to keep the short-term cost down.
