Is the Corsair RM850x Compatible with an RX 9060 XT?

I'm still learning about PC hardware and want to make sure my new power supply will work with an RX 9060 XT. I've read that the graphics card uses an 8-pin power connector, but I'm not familiar enough with the cables inside the PSU box to know what I should be looking for. A friend will help me install everything in a couple of weeks. My system currently has a B450M Pro-M2 motherboard, 16GB of DDR4 memory, and a Ryzen 5 3600, which I plan to upgrade to a Ryzen 7 5700X. Is the Corsair RM850x compatible, and does it provide enough power?

Yes, the RM850x is fully compatible and has far more than enough wattage for an RX 9060 XT. Just use the PCIe power cable that came with the PSU—not a CPU/EPS cable—and connect the required 8-pin plug to the graphics card.

That’s a solid PSU choice, and other systems have successfully paired the RM850x with an RX 9060 XT. As long as the PSU is installed with its original modular cables and the GPU cable is connected securely, you should be fine.

You’ll have plenty of headroom even after upgrading to the Ryzen 7 5700X. An 850W unit is considerably more power than this setup needs; systems using this class of hardware can typically stay well below that under heavy load.
