Is the Frontend Simplified Bootcamp Worth the $10K?

Hey everyone! I'm curious if anyone has recently gone through the Frontend Simplified bootcamp. I just had an interview, and the $10K price tag caught me off guard. I'd love to hear from folks who have attended in the past year about their thoughts on the curriculum, support, and overall experience.

Honestly, I think bootcamps are only valuable for a small group of people. Their claims of guaranteed high-paying tech jobs without a degree or coding experience seem sketchy at best. Most folks take longer than a year to learn coding to the level needed for an entry-level job. Plus, the job market is flooded with candidates, including those with CS degrees struggling to find work. Bootcamp certifications often don’t carry much weight in employers' eyes. If you’re a complete beginner, I’d recommend exploring free online resources instead of spending that much money. If you’re capable but need guidance, a bootcamp could be worth considering. Just make sure it’s the right fit for you!

I tried the 12-week trial for Frontend Simplified, which cost me $40. It was decent for getting started with HTML and CSS, but their JavaScript coverage was lacking, and they jumped to React way too fast. I ended up cancelling after they attempted to charge me $80, and I’ve shifted to other learning resources. It might help some, but I felt it was too little information for the price.

Lol, bootcamps used to be around $20K a decade ago. Honestly, just subscribe to Frontend Masters instead. You’ll get way more value for your money!
