I've been using a Cooler Master Elite 481 for almost a year, but I'm considering moving my components into a slightly smaller Montech TEN because I prefer compact PC builds. For anyone familiar with the TEN, how practical is it to build in and manage cables? Would you recommend making the switch, or would it be better to keep my current case? I'm also considering a modular power supply to reduce cable clutter, and I don't mind a more challenging build as long as my components will fit.

You could also look at the Jonsbo D32 Pro if you want another compact mATX option. It is generally easy to work in and offers good cable-management space, although the overall construction quality may not feel as substantial as some alternatives. If you consider it, compare the standard and Pro versions carefully and verify how the front-panel I/O connects before buying.
Before committing, check the exact dimensions and compatibility of every component. Smaller cases can be enjoyable if you like building, but fitting everything and routing cables may take considerably more planning than in your current case.
The main drawback with a compact mATX build is usually cable management. The Montech TEN can support mATX hardware, but the space may feel cramped and routing cables can become frustrating. A modular power supply should help by letting you leave out cables you do not need, though it will not eliminate the tight fit completely.
