I'm considering whether the MSI B850M-S Pro motherboard is excessive for my setup, which includes a Ryzen 5 7600 processor and an RX 9060 XT GPU with 16GB of RAM. I'm particularly looking for recommendations that offer WiFi support and good VRMs, so any insights would be appreciated!

When it comes to VRMs for the AM5 platform, some people think they're overrated, but a bit of cooling goes a long way. I'd suggest just picking up an affordable B650 or B850 motherboard that has all the features you need. Definitely shy away from the 620 and 840 models though.
If you're looking for alternatives, consider the Asus B650E MAX GAMING WIFI, the Gigabyte B850 Eagle with WiFi 6E, or the Asus TUF Gaming B650E-E WiFi. I've heard great things all around. Personally, as a proud ROG Strix owner, I'd vote for the TUF B650E. It's got all you need without being overkill for the specs you're running.

I'll take that advice, thanks!
