I'm finally building a PC for myself, and I discovered that my university has a website where I can use awarded credit to purchase items. Currently, I see the MSI GeForce RTX 5070 12G VENTUS 2X OC available for about £169 after applying my credit. The main concern I have is that I've read quite a few complaints about its fan noise, which makes me hesitant. Do you think it's a good idea to buy this GPU, given these potential issues? Any advice would be really helpful!

If this is the only GPU available and you don't have other options, I’d say go for it! You can adjust the fan settings to make it quieter, even if that means letting it run a bit warmer. Plus, if you ever feel like it’s too loud, you can always undervolt it to help manage performance vs. noise.
The selection is quite limited, unfortunately! This GPU really seems to be the best option on there. I just want to bring down the overall cost of my build while ensuring it runs okay. Thanks for the tip!
