I'm curious about whether the MSI Mag 650w 80 Plus Bronze power supply unit is a good and safe option for my setup. Does it have modern safety features, and how does it compare to other PSUs in terms of reliability?

The real concern with power supplies tends to be older models that lack the necessary safety features. This one is a mid-range PSU that covers the basics, so you shouldn't have to worry too much about it being dangerous. Just keep in mind that we don't have the exact model number to analyze. Generally, a good 650W ATX 2.3 unit can handle a short peak power of 715-845 watts, while lesser quality models might struggle to even provide 600 watts reliably. If it’s an ATX 3 compliant 650W unit, it should be able to manage a peak of 1,300 watts, which means better components and more longevity.

It says a650be. Is that any good?

Overall, this PSU is considered safe and adequate for most builds. It's rated around a C to B tier, so it should get the job done without any major issues.
