Is the Peerless Assassin or Phantom Spirit enough for a 7800X3D or 9800X3D build?

I'm planning a system with a Radeon RX 9070 XT, either a Ryzen 7 7800X3D or 9800X3D, and a Lian Li Lancool 217 case. I've been considering Thermalright coolers, especially the Peerless Assassin 120, but I'd like advice on whether it's sufficient or if there's a better high-quality air cooler that doesn't cost a fortune. Would the Peerless Assassin or a similar model be a good match for these parts?

I’m using a Peerless Assassin 120 with a similar high-end gaming CPU, and it performs very well. Temperatures usually stay in the 70–80°C range during demanding workloads, so it should be a solid choice for this build.

The Thermalright Phantom Spirit is a slightly improved version of the Peerless Assassin and is often around the same price. It should be more than capable of cooling either the 7800X3D or 9800X3D.

The DeepCool AK620 is another capable option, though the Phantom Spirit and Peerless Assassin are generally recommended because they offer similar high-end air-cooling performance at a lower price.

The Peerless Assassin is still an excellent value. It offers strong cooling for much less than premium models, and the more expensive options generally don’t provide anywhere near twice the performance. Make sure to check the cooler height and RAM clearance for your exact setup.

A Noctua NH-D15 G2 or be quiet! Dark Rock Pro would also work, but they cost considerably more. They can make sense if you strongly prefer their appearance, acoustics, or build quality, but Thermalright usually offers better performance per dollar.
