Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my GPU and have found two used options: the PowerColor Red Devil RX 6800 and the Sapphire Nitro+ SE Edition RX 6800. Currently, I'm running a Ryzen 7 5700X, and I want to make sure there won't be significant bottlenecking in most modern games. My goal is to achieve good performance for 1440p gaming. Here are some photos of the cards I'm considering. I'm curious about a few things: 1. Will the RX 6800 work well with the Ryzen 7 5700X without causing a bottleneck in most current games? 2. Are there any major downsides to buying either of these used cards, like reliability issues, VRM cooling problems, or coil whine? 3. Is there a clear winner between the Red Devil and Nitro+ SE in terms of long-term value? Thanks for your help!

Honestly, anything is worth it if the price is right! I snagged an RX 6800 for about $180 last month and it’s been fantastic in my 5700G system. No regrets! But I wouldn’t pay around $500 for it, you know?
If you can grab one for $200-250, that’s a steal! It performs really well at 1440p. Just keep in mind that some games might be CPU limited, so don’t expect crazy FPS like 500 in esports titles. Both cards are solid, so buy whichever is cheaper!
It really depends on your local market. People often overlook the differences. I sold my 7800 XT last month and could have gotten €400-450, but it went fast at €300. You’ll definitely get great performance at 1440p with those specs!
Yeah, in the USA everything seems cheaper! I just saw the new 5070 Ti at Walmart for $325!

I feel you! I’ve been wanting to upgrade my PC too, but RAM prices are wild right now for AM5. Can’t drop €500 for 32GB of DDR5!
