I'm looking to play games and edit videos, but in the Philippines, all the better options are way too pricey. I really want to avoid buying used gear since it's often unreliable. Is the RTX 3050 6GB worth considering, given my situation?

The RTX 3050 6GB can be okay if you find it at a super low price, but it's not the best choice overall. It might handle games from around 2008 fine, but modern titles and anything with Ray Tracing can be pretty challenging. You'll likely be playing on low settings or downscaled resolutions.

Honestly, I wouldn't say the 3050 6GB is worth it. The original 3050 had 8GB and was a better chip. The 6GB version performs more like a GTX 970, which feels pretty underwhelming today. If you can find a B580 or at least an RTX 5050, that would definitely be a better bet.

Yeah, the RTX 3050 6GB is about $200 here, but the 8GB variant is around $325. For that price, you could probably grab an RTX 5050 instead.

It seems like you're in a bit of a tough spot. The 3050 6GB is considered a low-end GPU these days. If it's your only option at a reasonable price, then I guess you have to go for it, but just know it might not perform well on newer games.
