I'm considering upgrading from my GTX 1080 Ti to an RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB, as the 5070 Ti is quite pricey and I'd also need a new PSU. I want to know if the RTX 5060 Ti is a solid choice for playing games like Monster Hunter Wilds and Oblivion Remastered smoothly. Here's my current setup:
- Ryzen 5 5600
- GTX 1080 Ti
- TX550M PSU
- 32 GB RAM
- B350 PC MATE Motherboard
- I game at 1440p 144hz.

If the RTX 5060 Ti is at or near MSRP, it could be a decent upgrade. Just make sure to check the reviews for the 9060 XT coming out next week to see if it offers better performance at a similar price point.

I'd actually recommend upgrading your motherboard first, maybe to a B450 or B550. The B350 is pretty dated, and you might run into performance issues. Just be cautious because the 5060 Ti has PCIe 4.0 and 5.0 support, but your setup's limitations could reduce its effectiveness.

Honestly, I'd hold off. I prefer my upgrades to provide at least double the performance, and I’m not sure the 5060 Ti will deliver that. Plus, with it using PCIe Gen 5x8, there could be bottlenecks on your B350 motherboard since it only supports Gen 3.

Also, you'll probably need a stronger PSU. I'd suggest at least a 650W. While the 5060 Ti draws less power than your current card, it's always good to have some headroom, especially for future upgrades.
