Is the RTX 5070 Ti worth paying 2,000 kr more than the RX 9070 XT?

At only 2,000 kr more, I’d lean toward the RTX 5070 Ti. Nvidia still has the advantage in features like DLSS, ray reconstruction, frame generation, game compatibility, streaming, and general driver support. The RX 9070 XT is the better value if the extra cost would stretch your budget, but the 5070 Ti’s feature set can justify the premium for some people.

The answer depends on resolution and the games you play. At 1440p, the 9070 XT is an easy recommendation because it delivers strong performance for less money. At 4K, or in single-player games where you want ray tracing and advanced frame generation, the 5070 Ti’s extra features may be worth the premium.

I’d also consider your operating system and overall setup. AMD can be excellent, particularly on Linux-based gaming systems, while Nvidia tends to offer a more predictable experience across Windows games and specialized features. Both are capable cards, so I’d prioritize the games and features you actually use rather than the brand.

I’d choose the RX 9070 XT at these prices. The cards perform close enough in regular rasterized gaming that saving 2,000 kr is appealing, especially for 1440p. Unless you specifically need Nvidia features or play lots of ray-traced games, the AMD card is probably the stronger value.

My rough cutoff would be around 1,500 kr. If the RTX 5070 Ti costs that much or less than the 9070 XT, I’d pay extra for Nvidia. Between 1,500 and 2,250 kr, it depends on whether DLSS, frame generation, ray tracing, and streaming matter to you. Above that, I’d strongly favor the 9070 XT.
