Is the RTX 5070TI a Good Upgrade for 1080p Gaming?

Hey everyone! I currently have an RTX 3060TI paired with a Ryzen 7 5700X, and I'm thinking about upgrading my GPU. My goal is to improve my frame rates in games, especially since I game on a 1080p 144Hz monitor. I really enjoy maintaining high FPS even in resource-heavy games like Kingdom Come: Deliverance and Rust with lots of players. Do you think upgrading to an RTX 5070TI is worth it for this setup? Should I consider AMD over Nvidia for this resolution?

For 144Hz at 1080p, the RTX 5070 should be sufficient. However, if you're focused on minimum frame rates in demanding games, you might want to consider a more powerful card.

You might want to take a look at your GPU usage while gaming. At 1080p with high FPS, your CPU may be the limiting factor. Both the RTX 5070 and RX 9070 are solid options; pick the cheaper one available to you.

I’d recommend looking at the RX 9060 XT instead. For 1080p gaming, the RTX 5070TI might be overkill, and the 9060 XT should serve you well. Just make sure you get the 16GB version for optimal performance!

If you're aiming for high FPS, you should aim for a card that can handle it, like the RTX 3090 TI which averages 147 FPS. The 5070TI is close but may struggle at higher resolutions. So, if you’re looking for consistent performance, a faster card might be necessary.
