Hey everyone! I recently upgraded my setup and now have a Ryzen 7 5700X with 32 GB of DDR4 RAM at 3200 MHz on a B450 motherboard. I'm looking to step up my GPU for 1440p gaming and I'm considering either the new RTX 5070 or the slightly more expensive RTX 5070 Ti, which I've seen available used. My main concern is whether my CPU or the PCIe 3.0 interface will bottleneck these GPUs. Do you think I'll be fine performance-wise?

Honestly, all this talk about bottlenecking is a bit overblown. Most of today’s games won't push past what PCIe 3.0 can handle. Getting a more powerful GPU will always yield better performance -- it just comes down to your budget!
If you're diving into graphically intensive games or ray tracing, the extra power of the 5070 Ti is definitely worth considering. Plus, it’ll support future upgrades nicely!
Both the 5070 and 5070 Ti max out at PCIe 5.0 x16, so they aren’t significantly affected by running on PCIe 3.0. Bottlenecking becomes a concern mainly with lower spec cards. You'll be just fine, especially at 1440p!
The 5070 Ti should work fine with your setup. Sure, you might see a slight drop in FPS, but nothing too drastic. Plus, you can always upgrade to AM6 in the future for more performance.
