I'm looking to build a system primarily for gaming and video editing. I'm considering a Ryzen 7 7700 paired with an RX 9060 XT (16GB). Do you think this CPU will hold up performance-wise, or should I look for better options around the same price or even less?

You should be fine with the Ryzen 7 7700; it won't bottleneck your performance. However, a lot of games at 1440p will run similarly with a Ryzen 5 7600, so you might not need the 7700 unless you’re doing heavy tasks beyond gaming. Just keep in mind that the RX 9060 XT could be more of a bottleneck than the CPU itself.

That's interesting! I thought the x3d versions were essential if the budget allows. Seems like I might be overthinking it.
