I'm looking to upgrade my CPU from an i7-12700KF for some hardcore gaming on my AW3423DWF ultrawide monitor. Do you think the Ryzen 7 7800X3D pairs well with an RX 7900 XTX for 3440x1440 gaming? If not, what would be a better choice?

The RX 7900 XTX is a decent option, but at 3440x1440, you might not see a big benefit switching from the i7-12700KF to the 7800X3D. At that resolution, the 12700KF performs well and won’t bottleneck your graphics card. You'd likely see just a small FPS increase with the 7800X3D, maybe around 2-6 FPS. If you’re mainly playing at higher resolutions, the gain isn’t really worth the upgrade unless there's a specific game that benefits greatly from the X3D architecture.
